Cabinet Bracing
The enclosure architecture of VOCELLO Notte is built around a rigid internal framework formed from 19 mm Baltic birch plywood, selected for its strength-to-weight ratio and predictable mechanical behavior. This framework is complemented by 23 mm MDF side panels, providing mass and uniform density where damping is most effective. The combination creates an enclosure that resists flexing under high sound pressure levels. The result is a stable acoustic platform that allows the drivers to operate with greater precision and dynamic control.

Curved & Damped Panels
The side walls of Notte are curved both for structural integrity and acoustic performance. Curved surfaces inherently reduce standing waves inside the enclosure, while their geometry increases stiffness compared to flat panels. To further suppress vibration, the interior surfaces are lined with bitumen and felt damping layers. This multi-stage damping approach minimizes cabinet resonance even during demanding bass passages.

The front baffle of VOCELLO Notte reaches a thickness of up to 56 mm at its center, creating a highly inert mounting surface for the drivers. This mass provides excellent resistance against micro-vibrations generated during driver operation, improving transient response and image stability. Its rounded profile is carefully shaped to reduce edge diffraction, allowing sound waves to disperse smoothly into the room. This contributes to a more natural soundstage, improved depth perception, and consistent tonal balance across a wider listening area.

Chamfered Driver Apertures
All internal driver cutouts are chamfered at 45 degrees, increasing the effective opening behind each driver. This design reduces air compression and turbulence as the diaphragm moves, particularly at higher excursions. By improving airflow behind the drivers, this detail minimizes compression effects and preserves linear motion, resulting in cleaner midrange articulation and more controlled low-frequency response.
Time-Aligned Modular Enclosures
Down-Firing Horn-Loaded Bass Reflex port
Notte employs separate enclosures for each frequency band, physically angled at 5 degrees to achieve precise time alignment at the listening position. This geometry ensures that sound from the bass, midrange, and high-frequency drivers arrives coherently, reinforcing rather than smearing transient information. The benefit is improved focus, more accurate imaging, and a convincing sense of scale.
Low-frequency extension is achieved through a down-firing flared bass reflex port that continues into a horn-shaped outlet. This configuration enhances bass output while maintaining low distortion and smooth airflow. The downward orientation reduces sensitivity to placement and minimizing audible port noise. The horn expansion further increases efficiency, delivering deep, controlled bass.

Reference-Grade Crossover & Internal Wiring
The crossover network is assembled using top-quality passive components, chosen for tight tolerances, long-term stability, and minimal signal loss. Components are laid out and wired by hand to preserve signal integrity and reduce electromagnetic interaction. Premium internal wiring ensures consistent conductivity across the system, contributing to seamless integration between drivers and maintaining tonal coherence throughout the frequency range.
Precision Terminal Plate with Level Adjustment
Wood Veneer And Automotive-Grade Finish
The rear terminal plate is machined from stainless steel chosen for its non-inductive properties. Integrated into the plate are midrange and tweeter level controls, allowing +1dB incremental adjustment. This feature enables fine tuning of the speaker’s balance to suit individual listening preferences and room acoustics — a level of control rarely found in commercial loudspeakers.
VOCELLO Notte is finished using real wood veneers. The final surface is achieved through a multi-layer automotive finishing process, consisting of several coats of metallic base and clear lacquer. This approach provides exceptional durability, visual depth, and a flawless surface that enhances the sculptural form of the loudspeaker.
The technology behind VOCELLO Notte is guided by a single philosophy: effort is no object when the goal is something truly magical.
Every design decision, material choice, and construction detail exists for a reason. Nothing is included for convenience, efficiency, or cost reduction. Instead, each element is the result of careful consideration, repeated refinement, and an unwavering commitment to musical integrity.
The engineering of Notte does not seek to impress through complexity alone. It seeks to dissapear - allowing the listener to experience music with presence, authority, and emotional depth. Technology, in this sense, is not the destination, but the means by which craftmanship transform sound into an experience that feels alive.
